About Us
In July 2013, my brother and I founded CommunityPolicing.com with the goal of to promoting a closer synergy between the public and police departments by informing, educating, and promoting the philosophy of community policing amongst the public, students, and police officers. As veteran police officers who have worked for City, Town, Village and State Police Departments, in variety of capacities such as foot patrol, patrol officer, investigations, police trainers and administration, we found that there are limited police training websites for motivated officers and progressive police departments to use as a source to educate themselves and ultimately improve the quality of service to their respected communities.
Combined with our experience in the field, I hold a BA in Social Sciences from Dominican College in Rockland County, NY and a MA in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. My brother holds a BA in Public Justice from SUNY Oswego and is actively working on his MBA from SUNY Oswego. During our criminal justice academic experience, we found that there was no “go to” criminal justice site for criminal justice students to do research, find ideas or have a basic break down of the criminal justice topics such as community policing.
We hope to act as a resource and create an educational environment for police officers, police trainers, police administrators as well as criminal justice students and their professors.
Our History
In July of 2013 my brother and I purchased the domain name communitypolicing.com from godaddy.com. Being that community policing is the forefront of the criminal justice academic world, we felt that the domain name had a lot of potential. While in grad school at John Jay College of Criminal Justice studying Criminal Justice, I found that there was no “go to” criminal justice site for criminal justice students to do research, find ideas or have a basic break down of the criminal justice topics such as community policing. At one point during my studies, I typed in the domain name communitypolicing.com, in hopes that I could find information pertaining to community policing, and I found that the website was for sale. This sparked our initial interest to purchase the domain name. As Law Enforcement Officers, Police Trainers and Police Administrators, we also found that there are limited police training websites for motivated officers and progressive police departments to use as a source to educate themselves and ultimately improve the quality of service to their respected communities.

Communitypolicing.com was founded with the goal of better serving police administrators, police trainers, motivated progressive police officers, criminal justice students, professors as well as community groups to promote confidence, understanding, trust and competence from the public to achieve community policing objectives.
